The Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Akram Arain on Friday visited the Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) and discussed matters pertaining to the capital market with the LSE Managing Director Hamid Imtiazi. Hamid Imtiazi briefed the Lesco chief on various issues relating to the LSE and the capital market in general while Akram Arain updated him about the recent changes in Lesco, and its future plans including new products and services for corporate clients.
Lesco chief was also briefed about the LSE affairs including new regulatory and operational changes that are being brought about.
Akram Arain also visited the information technology (IT) department of the LSE where he was briefed on the progress made by the exchange in this particular area.
Both also discussed the desirability of attracting listings at stock exchanges by large public sector organisations like Lesco, which would provide greater breadth and depth to the existing capital market.
